In the middle of the town centre rest the 800 year old Castle of the Counts, from which the Counts of Flanders ruled. In the immediate surroundings of this famous witness of a great past, is situated Hotel Gravensteen, sheltered in a 19th century mansion which has been completely renovated in its original Second Empire style.

The hotel has 49 personified rooms at your disposal, equipped with all modern comfort: private bathroom, individual adjustable heating, TV, telephone, minibar and some rooms have air conditioning. All our comfortable rooms are equipped with wireless internet (payable). In the cosy and pleasing bar 'The Donjon' you can enjoy a Belgian beer or another drink. Your day starts with a rich and varied breakfast buffet in our atmospheric breakfast room 'De Morgenstond'.
